Hello, I am a TV Producer for a new medical talkshow. We want to take a good look at the emerging salvia problem and are looking for parents from everywhere in the US who want help talking to their teen about Salvia and who suspects they are trying it. Please contact me if this is you ... tvshow214 at yahoo. |

Leave well enough alone- go after ILLEGAL drugs like meth and stop sensationalizing sage. |

salvia is a non addictive drug,it has no known over dose, and within a couple of minutes you are completely sober again, yes it can get you spun pretty bad, but it really won't hurt any one; there is no way some one can operate a car on it, so it can't kill you that way. What is this problem you are talking about? There are thousands of other things that teens use or do that need to be addressed-- so why use power of tv on something as trivial as Salvia, a substance that lacks a serious abuse potential, popularity in a party setting, and cost so much money? Salvia is a trivial drug that people may try once or twice-- so why waste your breath talking about it on your talk show? Why not spend your time more wisely and address issues that actually ought to be addressed, such as girls getting raped at parties involving underage alcohol use, students dropping out of school because of regular marijuana usage, prostitution for drugs like meth or cocaine, or the use of readily available inhalant substances (which ACTUALLY have been known to kill people)? I'm more than willing to bet that nobody has died, dropped out of school, whored themselves, or gotten raped because they decided to smoke some sage. I'm also more than willing to come onto your talk show and address more serious issues. |

You've got to be kidding me! Don't you have anything better to do with your time than worry about nothing. Look, I'm a garden designer. I know every plant in the book and what it does and salvia or "sage" as it is often caused, DOES NOT GET ONE HIGH. NOT ANY KIND OF SALVIA! |
